I have traditionally liked this model in the 992 or 991S the best. The 992 is a very lively sound and the Silver-Plate had more "meat" to the sound. If you have the money the 9930 is fantastic with a super quicky response and clarity to the sound that you do not get from a brass or bronze body!!
Yanagisawa, like most newer sopranos, plays with a brighter sound quality so we recommend the Otto Link Hard Rubber soprano mouthpiece for jazz or the Selmer S80 C* or Rousseau Classic for classical.
Mark Gross plays the 9930 Soprano and I encourage you to check out this fine player soon (http://www.markgrossmusic.com/)!!!
The Sax Alley price will include our $300 "New Horn Set Up" and FREE SHIPPING.
