Cordier has been known for it's excellent reed trimmers for decades.  A reed trimmer will take material off the tip of the reed, thus making the reed feel harder.  This is especially good for a reed that is getting older, still  plays well, but feels soft.  Trimming the end will extend the usefullness of the reed.

This clarinet is Buffet Crampon’s 'Conservatoire' intermediate model.  The C13 is a fantastic clarinet for those who want the better sound quality of wood, but aren't able or willing to spend the money for an R13.
