Chedeville Paris Alto Mouthpeice- BEAUTIFUL CONDITION

The Chedeville company was founded in Paris in the early 20th century and, despite not being a common name these days, they were direct competition to Vandoren and Selmer during their day. Their claim to fame is their excellent quality hard rubber that is extremely resonant. They play very dark with a large chamber and straight baffle.

This is an excellent specimen of a Chedeville mouthpiece and shows no appreciable wear!

Francois Louis Spectruoso Alto Mouthpiece, Regular Model or Signature Model

A new composite material that resonates beautifully. The chamber is similar in looks to a Berg Larsen, but this mouthpiece plays more easily than a Berg and really speaks with great focus. A great mouthpiece!

Macsax Hard Rubber FJ III Alto Mouthpiece #7 with Cap, Lig and Case

This Macsax hard rubber alto mouthpiece is in like new condition.  It has a straight baffle that eventually rolls into large chamber.  For me this played extremely dark and feels like it would be ideal for the alto player looking for a bit less edge! Response was great in all registers.

No ligature included but most standard ligatures should fit!

Meyer Hard Rubber Alto Mouthpiece #11MM with Original Box- .110 Tip!!

I've never seen a Meyer with a tip opening this big! This must have been made custom for somebody looking for the biggest opening possible as the tip measures around a whopping .110"! Despite its drastic size, I was able to make this work for me with a medium soft reed and it played quite well! If you have a lot of air to move, this mouthpiece will likely work great for you.

No ligature or cap included

Meyer Hard Rubber Alto Mouthpiece with Phil-Tone Custom Reface - New (Only one left in a #7)

The Meyer and Meyer Brothers Alto saxophone mouthpiece has been the mainstay of Alto Players for over half a century. For years these were carefully hand faced.  Unfortunately, current production models lack the precision and attention given to those of past legend.

The Phil-Tone Meyer is a corrected and customized version of the current Babbitt Meyer.  The table is flattened, the throat is slightly enlarged, and a proper facing is applied for ease of play and rapid response. The result is a classic mouthpiece with a rich tonal palette that is never shrill or thin. Expect deeper lows, a strong midrange, and highs that project with clarity and resonance.

Naujoks-McLaughlin 'Sil-Va-Lay' #3 Vintage Hard Rubber Alto Mouthpiece with ligature and cap - Used

This mouthpiece looks a lot like a vintage Conn Steel-Lay with a different name on it.  Store branding was as common in this era as it is today and this was likely made for a specific store, Naujoks-McLaughlin, in Los Angeles, California.

It has a short shank and metal table rails and tip fused onto the rubber.  The corners of the tip, on the rubber side, are slighlty chipped, but that is irrelevant because of the metal rails on the reed side of the mouthpiece.

Vintage cap and ligature included.

A solstice signals the change in the seasons, just as this mouthpiece marks a departure from the traditional jazz alto setup.  The Solstice harkens to the days of the ”West Coast” school of sound, made famous by such greats as Art Pepper, Lee Konitz, and Paul Desmond.  The sounds and styles of these greats inspired the creation of this mouthpiece.
