Glotin Paris Vintage Hard Rubber Soprano Mouthpiece

I have never seen a mouthpiece made by Glotin before.  They are normally known as a reed manufacturer.  This one is in excellent condition and has a #8 on the side of the table.  The tip does not look like it's anything close to a #8 so I am not really sure what that is supposed to indicate.

H. Couf Artist Hard Rubber Tenor Mouthpiece #5*R - Used in excellent condition, refaced by James Bunte to .100" Tip!

We don't know much about this mouthpiece except that it was manufactured for Herbert Couf, probably in the 70's, is an "Artist" model in a 5*R facing that was refaced to a .100" tip by James Bunte.  External diameter is smaller so it will probably need an alto ligature instead of a standard size tenor ligature. (Herbert Couf had his own line of saxophones as well, made by Keilwerth and they play extremely well.)

Henton Vintage Hard Rubber Soprano Mouthpiece

This mouthpiece looks a lot like a vintage Conn Steel-Lay or a Naujoks-McLaughlin with a different name on it.  Store branding was as common in this era as it is today and this was likely made for Henton?

It has a short shank and metal table rails and tip fused onto the rubber.

No cap or ligature included.

King Vintage Alto Mouthpiece #2 with cap and ligature, Black

Vintage King alto mouthpiece in a #2 facing (black) with ligature and cap.  King would have included this mouthpiece with one of their saxophone models in the past.  There are some moderatly deep tooth impressions in the bite area.  I will include a mouthpiece patch with this one so that won't be as much of an issue.

These usually play pretty well, although this one has a pretty small tip opening.

Non-original, but vintage, metal ligature and cap included.

King Vintage Hard Rubber 'Equa-Tru' Alto Mouthpiece - Used

Vintage Hard Rubber King "Equa-Tru" alto mouthpiece in good condition.  No facing markings, but it appears to be a very small tip opening, typical of this era of mouthpiece which features a short shank, low floor, hollowed out sidewalls and round chamber.  There are minor scratches on the bite area, but tip and rails are good.  This is the mouthpiece they would have included with their older model, vintage altos.

This would be an excellent piece for a vintage alto or someone who wants that older style mouthpiece, but you will need a pretty stiff reed to make it work for you.

No Ligature or Cap.

Kleartone 'Professional' Vintage Hard Rubber Soprano Mouthpiece - Rare

Rare, vintage Kleartone "Professional" Hard Rubber soprano mouthpiece.  I have NEVER seen one of these before, but they are definitely designed for a vintage horn since they are a very short shank, large chamber soprano mouthpiece.  No facing markings, but in very good condition with only one small nick in the tip that doesn't go through to the chamber so there is no problem with reed seal.

No cap or ligature included, but it does come with it's original box.

Lakey (Claude Lakey) Vintage 6* Soprano Mouthpiece - Used

A good mouthpiece if you need an extreme amount of power and edge.  The Lakey is probably the brightest sonically of any non-metal mouthpiece.  This vintage  6* facing is one that we haven't seen in this shop before.   Tip and rails are excellent and bite area only very minor tooth scratching.  My guess is this one plays the way the Lakey pieces were supposed to play before their moulds got worn out.

No cap or ligature included.

If you want to warm up the sound of the mouthpiece, I recommend a Rovner Dark Model Ligature which you can add to your order by clicking on the "Ligature Option".

Meliphone Special, Steel Ebonite, Vintage Hard Rubber Tenor Mouthpiece B5* - Excellent Condition!

It is very difficult to find out information about the Melliphone Special, Steel Ebonite tenor mouthpiece.  The physical appearance of this mouthpiece makes it seem to be very close to the Steel Ebonite "Dick Stabile" model and the "Steel Ebonite" name was largely attributed to the Woodwind Company.  It is a short shank, hard rubber piece with a silver band on the shank and narrow interior sidewalls.
